Flatbush VICTORIAN HOUSE

A selective renovation of a turn of the century mansion.  The new owners wanted to respect the character and detail of the original construction and were working with a tight budget, so as much as possible was preserved, even as the house was entirely re-wired.  This meant that nearly every wall and ceiling in the five bedroom, three-story house was cut open and then repaired.

Highlights included stripping and re-finishing the three-story grand central staircase, complete reconstruction of one bathroom in a traditional style, and stripping and restoring the third floor ceiling.
