Framing for the new storefront

A top to bottom renovation of a former take out joint into a the classiest new bar in Brooklyn. We crammed new plumbing through the existing commercial kitchen and cellar to create an enlarged prep area. The front of house was rearranged to create space for the bar and seating and a new subfloor and hardwood floor were installed.

New mechanical, electrical and plumbing were added to accommodate the new layout. Finally, the old storefront was removed and a salvaged Art Deco entrance was carefully reinstalled, and the owners finished off the space with wood paneling, wallpaper, and a salvaged mahogany bar top.
