Here we renovated the bottom two floors of a townhouse.  The defining elements of the new product were the new large openings at the garden floor and parlor floor rear walls, along with a new new back deck and kitchen.  In addition, the owners elected to replace all of the home’s windows with new high performance wood windows matching the neighborhood’s historic character.  These newer elements were installed while preserving existing historic elements.  The existing casings and base were kept intact and also replicated for new openings, the front door and gate were repaired, plaster crown moldings were preserved and extended to accommodate a revised layout and a plaster ceiling medallion was relocated.    Other project elements included a new bar (not pictured) and all custom cabinetry in the new kitchen.
